Men's Felted Moc Slippers Knitting Pattern by Lavender Hill Knits

Fun to knit slippers that make a great gift for dads, husbands, brothers, boyfriends or any guy!!  They knit up super quick using bulky weight yarn.  Watching a very large, strange looking piece of knitting felt down to a finished slipper in your washing machine is amazing!  Warning, felting can be addictive :)  Because of the way these slippers are constructed, there are numerous ways to embellish or personalize them using one or more special colors of yarn, contrasting stitching, and with or without the decorative back tab.  They are great for college students to wear around the dorm, make them in school colors!

Your purchase includes pattern support - just send me an email and I'll be happy to answer your questions or help you if you get stuck.  Directions include lots of color pictures, very detailed knitting instructions, definitions of stitches used and complete felting instructions.

Skill level: intermediate

 

Pattern includes directions for slippers in four sizes:

10.5" = mens shoe size 8.5-9.5
11" = mens shoe size 10-11
11.5" = mens shoe size 11.5-12.5
12" = mens shoe size 13


Materials needed:
16" or 24" circular knitting needle in size US 11 (8mm)
100% wool bulky weight yarn, suggested yarn: Patons Classic Wool Roving (yardage varies depending on size, 220-280 yards)
stitch markers
yarn needle


Gauge:  3 stitches and 6 rows per inch in garter stitch


Finish your slippers with leather or vinyl slipper bottoms (shown in last two photos). They add durability and make the slippers non-skid. You can purchase them separately here on my site.
These slippers are also available in women's and kid's sizes so you can make them for the whole family! The patterns are sold separately here on my site.
